2.8.4. Flash Lite 3 ist der neue Flash Player für Handys. Zur Zeit ist er als Developer Version bereits hier download-bar.

Flash Lite 3 entspricht ungefähr dem Standard des Flash 8 Players, d.h. ActionScript 2. Dazu kann Flash Lite 3 jetzt auch Videos (aus der Konserve oder Live) direkt als Streams vom Flash Media Server 3 anzeigen. Leider kann Flash Lite 3 nur Videos mit Ton anzeigen, deren Sound mit MP3 encodiert ist, dass kann somit nur der Flash Media Encoder 2, heisst im Kehrschluss, kein Ton bei Live-Videos, die über eine Flash-Anwendung aufgenommen werden.

Ansonsten hoffen wir, dass Flash Lite 3 richtig boomen wird.

Cool … der Orbit Downloader (kostenlos, auch in Deutsch verfügbar, http://www.orbitdownloader.com) kann jede Form von FLV Dateien abgrabben. Und zwar nicht nur FLVs aus der Konserve wie bei YouTube.com, sondern auch Live-Streams wie bei Ligx.de oder WebZooms.tv.

In wie weit dieses funktioniert muss ich noch mal austesten. Ansonsten ist man sicherlich mit dem Flash Media Server 3.0 auf der sicheren Seite, wenn man das neue RTMPE Protokoll oder hashed SWF-Files verwendet (was beides aber nur im Flash Player 9.0.115 funktioniert …).

Zu dem hat Adobe einen eigenen Server für Digital Right Management speziell für den Flash Media Server in der Pipe mit dem das Problem dann endgültig gelöst wird.
