Gestern wurde ein Security Update für den Flash Player 9 veröffentlicht. Die aktuellste Version des Flash Players ist jetzt 9,0,124. Mit diesem Update wurden einige kritische Sicherheitslücken des Flash Players 9 behoben, aber es kommt zu Inkompatibilitäten mit dem Flash Media Server 3.0.

Insbesondere hat sich in diesem Zusammenhang das Format der crossdomain.xml Datei geändert und das alte Format wird nicht mehr unterstützt! Wenn also plötzlich alter Content nicht mehr funktioniert, dann liegt es mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit an dem Update!

Wichtig: Aufgrund einiger Änderungen in diesem FlashPlayer Update müssen Flash Media Server 3 Kunden dringend auf die FMS Version 3.01 updaten:

At the end of March, Adobe will release Flash Media Server 3.0.1, addressing an incompatibility with the upcoming Flash Player 9.0124 security release and Flash Media Server 3, that affects H.264/AAC streams. Flash Player 9.0124 will be unable to playback H.264/AAC content streamed from Flash Media Interactive Server 3 and Flash Media Streaming Server 3 over the RTMP, RTMPT and RTMPS protocols. This issue does not affect content streamed over the RTMPE and RTMPTE protocols, regardless of the encoding format. Videos encoded using Sorenson Spark, On2, MP3 or Nelly Moser are not affected.
